Gardening bug

Spent the entire debt of Greece on garden stuff this weekend. We’ve bought a load of plants, that will no doubt shed their leaves before autumn, and a leaf sucker to pick them all up, shred and make them available to fertilise more leaf shedding plants next year. It’s a circle of life thing.

We have a really good garden centre close by which we’ve been to a couple of times. Today we thought we’d treat ourselves to breakfast. At £6 for two English Breakfasts it would have been rude not to. With a couple of teas as well we still had change from a tenner.

The food was lovely, sadly we had to wait the entire lifespan of a Caddisfly to get it. Half an hour it took to get the cooked food we had passed in the long queue to our table. Even then we had to go and remind them that, unlike the Caddisfly, we were still alive.

Yesterday while potting up a new plant we disturbed a Leafcutter Bees’ nest. So riddled with guilt we’ve bought the little fella a Bee Hotel. He’s in there now checking out what he can get on the TV.
